Challenges That Became Our Inspiration
Sekar Jagad Gallery & Creative Hub set out to do more than sell batik. It needed a website that could support a full ecosystem: a gallery showcasing Banyuwangi's traditional and contemporary batik, an online shop for e-commerce sales, a coworking membership offering, and a calendar of workshops and events.
All of that needed to come together while still giving individual artisans real visibility, rather than folding them into a generic product catalogue.
Solution
From Brainstorming to Execution
We built the site around Sekar Jagad's dual identity as both a cultural preservation hub and a working creative space: a batik gallery and online shop for buyers, and dedicated artisan profiles to spotlight the craftspeople behind the work.
Separate sections for coworking membership and the event calendar were built alongside the gallery and shop, tied together with visual storytelling through process and artisan photography.
Results
Sekar Jagad now has a website that reflects its mission, giving Banyuwangi's batik artisans a real platform for visibility and income, while making the gallery, shop, coworking space, and workshops all easy for visitors and collaborators to find.
